Thomas Hamel is a Mere Christian Fellowship Board member and the current Executive Director. Born on the Canadian Prairies, he voluntarily accompanied his parents to BC when just a year old. Tom married Diane in 1972 and took over the family home furnishings business a few years later. In 1991 he sold the business and enrolled at Trinity Western University, graduating with a History degree in 1995.
Tom founded Redeemer Pacific College at Trinity Western after graduation. The College opened in 1999 and served both Catholic and Evangelical students under his presidency till 2011.

In July of 2011, Tom and his wife Diane moved to a cosy one and a half story cottage on the edge of the picturesque farm country and stately mountains of the eastern Fraser Valley. Like his friend Dr. Stackpole, Tom is a bit of a Narniac who seeks "the Utter East."
